What the fook has it got to do with colour? What the FOOK?

This thread is about some knob who acted like a c**t and got his just deserts. If you feel that it is OK to break the law and rules of the road and put others at risk and justify it by saying "my boss made me do it" then I certainly feel sorry for anyone who gets in your way on the streets of wherever it is you come from

All i said in this country its the average working white male that gets shafted!!! simple as that.

As for wether its ok makes no difference, if i do it im wrong and if i dont take risks then i dont get the job done and im replaced with someone else that can drive around like a twat and can get the job done!

Cool. Well the guy was an asian if you want to bring race in to it. It was a male though, so you were half right.

...It wasnt a delivery van either.

Anyway, regardless of what you drive, van, car, tank etc. If you cut people up/drive like a tit (as this person obviously did) on the road and you're emplyers phone numbers on the back....

It's good to talk.

can see it now limited slip diffs for sale as i might get reported for sliding about by joe public and loose my licence or job  . but i soppose we osf'ers dont do things like that in our mk1's and anglias and so on do we

I got a sign in the post from our ever so helpfull management that gives you a number to call if you see the vehicle being driven badly (a valuable asset to my job)

i stuck it on the back door as requested...on the inside

I have to be honest, i dont agree with what the van driver did, and its not in my book of "iffy" moves, but the problem is with joe public calling the numbers on vans (mines been disguised now) is they dont realise the implications it causes..

my firm dont need you calling them, they are pefectly aware of my speeds and direction and where i am... anyone thats had thier ankle tagged will know what the fook im talking about...in fact if it were legal theyd prob have a tag on our bastard ankles too.

You are also Joe public. You're not the Police, emergency services or Armed forces so you should have to conform like the rest of us. You'd have the hump if you were out in youor Bimmer and a poxy van smashed your mirror to bollox and fooked off. What about when you're forced into the kerb when that downtrodden van driver is in so much of a hurry that he can't wait 3 seconds to overtake? Or the one that cuts you up so bad that you mount the pavement in your nice motor?

I don't understand how, given the fact that all these hard done by van drivers have so many obstacles in their way that they don't explore another avenue of employment?

I find your comments Glyn totally unacceptable . This van driver ( white / brown / yellow  ) drove like a complete c*** and is getting his just deserts . End of .

I have been driving HGV 1 for 23 years now and have in my time seen some of the worst driving by cars , vans and lorries , but if , as has been stated in the very first post , he did do what has been said then he gets evrything he deserves . There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for driving like that at all .

#

How can you condone his actions ? Because he drives a van like you ? Or because his " i"m on a big bonus " manager said the jobs got to be done whatever the cost ?

That 2 seconds he made up to get in front of GJUK could in all honesty is the difference between sitting at a set of lights or snuffing the life out of a kid in his buggy .

Wrong Glyn , very wrong .

I drive a white transit around london and to be honest most of the bad driving i see is from car drivers trying to get past me, but whoever you are, if you drive like a tit you deserve to get done for it

I certainly wouldn't undertake over the pavement and park in a box junction just to get in front :shock: (especially in an OSF)

you need a day out with kev  . WHITE KNUCKLE

i work for dhl and if our drivers don't get parcels delivered then they go out the next day as a priority, it's not a huge deal and they don't get the drivers to drive like that because they're in big yellow and red vans and i think they'd know who to blame...

btw, i don't care who you are. undertaking up a pavement and into a yellow hashed area means you're an asshole on the road, simple

you must know the plod around here then .

why didnt you tell him how you felt to his face. where i come from men are men. if youve got a problem with someone you tell them how you feel, even if that turns into an argument or a little fisticuff. he would probably have prefered a fat lip to the sack!!! maybe im a bit old fashioned but in my opinion if your not man enough to front a problem without picking up the phone to grass a man up and possibly affect his livelyhood then your a bigger mug than you sound!! better be careful what i say as you might ring my boss!!!:wink:

White van man must have saved at least 3 seconds on his journey time by doing that manoeuvre  .......

I wouldn't go up on the pavement .... it might dent my rims :lol::lol::lol:

Seriously though ... if you break the rules then you must take the consequences

And Den ... I see where you are coming from but chances are these day's you'll end up with a 6" blade in your guts :(

Exactly, I'm not shy of confrontation either but why should I take the risk of said white van man being an ogre with half a brain cell and climbing out of his cab wielding a wheel brace?

He's in the wrong and should take the consequences, why should Jo public have risk themselves by pointing out the error of his ways in person when there are already perfectly good (and more effective) ways of doing so out there?

If your driving like a tit your in the wrong, regardless of what your in or what color you are, theres good and bad in all races

Anyone wants to see some bad driving, come work with me for the day (and i dont mean to watch my driving).

Im switched on unlike the idiots around me who shouldnt be allowed to walk let alone drive a car

i dont condone driving like a tit but i also dont condone grassing on someone to thier boss, for all you know the guy could have 10 kids to feed and a roof to keep over thier heads, not cool  , i do like the way GJUK seems to be able to stur up peoples opinions though, i like a little osf banter  good work jon

I drive a merc sprinter for my loft job. I am always running late and working late. But I drive sensibly, I'd rather come home late 10 minutes each day, than do something silly and cause a crash or flatten a child on the pavement. Our vans have head office number on the side too. People sometimes forget, vans are not toys. Mine is a 3.5 tonne van, and it can do a lot of damage, so driving it responsibly and safely is part of my job.

Sounds like you have sympathy for the driver that cut me up. Sound like you drive with something to hide also to be fair. Maybe you wouldnt have a job if you put your sticker in the correct place, where your emplyer requested and expected you to place it? Maybe. There's a thought.

is they dont realise the implications it causes..

Oh, I'm sure we realise the implications of making a complaint about dangerous driver, in rush hour in the middle of a town centre on a blind corner. Maybe its the driver of the said vehicle that doesnt realise what his actions could result in. Sounded to me like he'd done it before, twice. Didnt learn his lesson though.

a) Contraceptives.

B) With responsibility comes the need to be responsible.

Well, I say what I think. Sometimes people don't like my opinions, at least I'm honest.

Cheers,

why didnt you tell him how you felt to his face.

He drove off, speeding in to the sun set. Much like you'd see in a film. Less the sports car, sunset and swap the distance for traffic.

if youve got a problem with someone you tell them how you feel, even if that turns into an argument or a little fisticuff.

Sure, venting your anger towards someone will 'get it off your chest'. It's not going to do anyones stress level any good though is is?

I won't rise to your bait. But I think, saying these things without knowing who you're talking to; your comments out of line there to be fair.

Cheers,

Jon

not jumpin on the band wagon or nout but if there aware why would they want a sticker on ya door

because they wouldn't get any sales calls - phoneline would be jammed with drivers in Glyn's wake!

Seriously - I do 70 - 80 K per year and i have seen some things in my time. I always stop for accidents no matter if i am late, but if it's a van driver it's hardly ever their fault. In fact the only vans i hate are hired out ones. . . . because the owner never owns them they always drive like pricks!

9 times out of 10 its a middle aged white males who cut me up in new BMW's or sports cars, but don't get me started on foreign lorries. . . .
