Get a room you cheap skate !

I would if there were any available. York is totally sold out of rooms for tomorrow night. Don't believe me? Try and find one yourself!

Or it was. I've just managed to book the last available single room in the whole of York, so I won't be sleeping in my van! Yay!!

But it was an interesting discussion.

Oh, Daggle, the car park in question does have a barrier, but from memory last year it was permanently raised.

i slept in the back of my van when i was pissed at brighton years ago, i put the keys in the glove box, and was fast asleep when they came knocking , they could see they had woke me up and i just told them i had too much too drink to drive home , they were ok about it but did warn me about still be over the limit in the morning , i said i was,nt going home until the next evening as i was down for the weekend, they were ok about it and told me to lock the doors whilst i slept , all down to officers discretion maybe

lol... Will you be working at around 2am? I may need a taxi to get from the Novotel to the B&B I'm staying at near the station. It's only just over a mile but it'll take me four hours to walk it if I'm anywhere near as pissed as i was last year!

That key law is nothing short of stupid!!

So awake in a house, 30 yards from your car with your car key is fine, but asleep in a car you have no intent to drive, is illegal.

You would have thought they'd be supportive of someone responsible enough to sleep it off.

Is this another easy nic? I respect the Police and think in general they have a tough job which I don't envy, but really, is it any wonder they loose respect and connection with the general public when they behave like this?

A local Bobby on "Heartbeat" on BBC 1 would get onto points of view if they behaved like that!:ykt:
