And there was a police man on the otherside of the road, and he pointed over and told her to get off it Her car wasen't even running, and she wasent bout to drive off cus she was goin into work at the time I dnt think you can get done for it, and ye i think your right it is private property. Your best bet is to ask Daggle
Stu_B Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 That is ridiculous! If I get a txt or a phone call I'll pull over & answer it on the edge of the road with my engine running! I'm not driving... what's the problem?! I even reply to txts at traffic lights etc! As long as you're not in control of a MOVING car what's the problem?
Retro-gone. Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 the problem is gaz its illegal ! they are tryin to ban smoking in your own private vehicle now too!
Copey Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 they are tryin to ban smoking in your own private vehicle now too! if it stops pricks from flickin cig ends outa the window onto the front of my car then good, cant stand it when people do that!! i followed a guy in a merc who did it once for a good few miles, when he parked up i got out n give the tinker lol a piece of my mind and told him he was lucky i hadnt filled him in! as for the phone on the drive, tell her to fight it, it was private property and she wasnt driving, they had no grounds to give her a fine!
GJUK Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 they are tryin to ban smoking in your own private vehicle now too! Good. if it stops pricks from flickin cig ends outa the window onto the front of my car then good Yep.
antz Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 I was in town today with my dad and we walked past a traffic warden and get back into the car. my dad starts the car, takes his disabled badge out the window and then i point out a sign for a 32oz steak on the pub opposite so my dads reading the sign then TAP TAP TAP on the window. its the bloody traffic warden telling my dad he is parked in a disabled space without displaying his badge! my dads reply was IVE JUST TAKEN IT OUT THE BLOODY WINDOW!!!! traffic wardens. rats of the human world (i hate people flicking fags out the window at me. a car has an ash tray so use it! They usually get a flash of high beam when they do it to me...and i use 100w rally bulbs in my headlights )

Perhaps his/her tone was out of order when questioning your old man but wouldn't you rather the traffic warden WAS questioning people about parking in disabled bays than turning a blind eye and doing nothing about it?

It is private property and if she took the matter to court then it would get dropped......unless of course you are not being told the full story. Did your friend pull onto the driveway after being seen texting on the road maybe ? Texting and drivng is extremely dangerous for obvious reasons
Mr Sam Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 id fight that to the death!!!! that would be like sat in the middle of a field with the engine runing and texting take them to the civil court for tresspass onto your land
