You've done the right thing m8 I also have both and the other night was playing my son on codmw2 when suddenly it says unreadable disc on the xbox then I removed the disc to find it scratched been on YouTube etc and this is also another common fail with the xbox ,

bahh ps3's arent that much £250 for the new 120 gig slim, not a lot really. oh and if anyone does do the team up thing on COD MW2 then give me an add (mk3cortina) ive just started playing it as i got it for christmas (completed the story missions come boxing day lol)

yeah, but thats 2.5 x what i paid for my xbox and more than i want to spend on a games console

can you charge up the controller via a USB from say the laptop? or does it have to be direct from the PS3?

Charge mine from the PC all the time.

 

Also think there is a software so you can use a bluetooth dongle and use the controller on the PC

Buy yourself a docking station for the controllers,my spare is always on the docking station, but to be honest the battery in them are brill ive never had to swop a controller because it needed charging,and i play for many hours

xbox are great but make sure you get the battery pack for the controler's
