Hi everyone, thought I'd post a few pics of my RS2600, bought the car back in July 1998 with just 39,000 on the clock ran it for a couple of months then stripped it and restored it to Concours. I showed the car in 1999 and 2000 only use it on rare occasions now speedo now reads approx 41,000.

cheers RScapriman.

Hi Tim, yes I will be at a few shows this year mainly with my RS3100, but I'll probably take the RS2600 over to Castle Combe again I'll have to soon start organising a few cars.

Just put two and two together as to who you are, I bought a twin tail pipe exhaust of you for a GXL I was restoring. I think it was at a CCI show at Eavesham in about 1995, I still had that car until about 3 years ago and wish I'd never sold it!

Tailpipe fitted fine, so a belated thankyou!

Yes mate that was it's original colour. I originally planned to do it as an RS3100 replica, but I like the vinyl roof and chrome grill so kept it as a GXL, besides they're pretty rare in their own right.

Wish I hadn't sold it  There's a few more pics of it here

Hi Dave, all were LHD except 2 that Ford themselves converted for 2 of their main men, the colour is Monza/Electric blue code "U" non standard blue according to Ford Parts Book, the only Capri's I have seen painted this colour are RS2600's.

Hi VistaRS, your correct in saying that GXL's are now becoming a rare car however it has to be said the 3000GT is a lot rarer, I have seen more RS3100's than GT's. Also something about your old GXL has confused me! how did it become "K" registered as the facelift capri was introduced in Sep 1972 a month after the Registration changed from "K" to "L" Reg on the 1st Aug! Any ideas !!!

Cheers RScapriman.

P.S. enjoyed reading about your Capri exploits.
