peranapete Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 Hello Len, I have not seen any of those vehicles as yet, mine is not registered in the UK yet, I have just paid the duty to get it out of the docks, Im yet to register it yet as Im debating if to get a age related plate or a private plate. I have seen a picture of a Perana on a Uk Capri website but i cant remember where, it was a yellow one. Do you know how many are in the UK, Id like to get in touch with any of themto learn some more. Can I just say that both your cars are truely magnificent. Did you know about the RS3100 that went through the Coys Auction this saturday ? Dont know if it sold or how much, looked a nice one Peter
rscapriman Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 Hi Peter, I'm not sure how many are in the UK at least a couple that I know of possibly 3, yes I did know of the RS3100 for sale at auction I believe it made close to £11,000 inc auction fee. Cheerr Len. P.S. thanks for the great comments.

I heard that one or 2 were imported for the Ford directors, is it one of those? I also wonder what happened to NHK 282M, the press demonstrator RS3100 that was restored in the early 90s but seems to have disappeared now

I also wonder what happened to NHK 282M, the press demonstrator RS3100 that was restored in the early 90s but seems to have disappeared now Hi mate, the RS2600 I brought into the UK from France in 1998, back in 1973 Ford converted 2 RS2600's to RHD for Walter Hayes and Stuart Turner these were both Blue/White. The Daytona Yellow RS3100 NHK 282M went to Aberdeen just after being used as a Press car it has remained there ever since. Cheers RScapriman.
peranapete Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Hello Len, Do you know the owner of NHK282M, I spoke to him about 18 months ago, the car was still in Aberdeen then, and still in great shape. You will be amazed on how much he was asking for it ! I have been trying to find his number to give him another call to see if things have changed. Thanks. Peter

Peter Hi Peter, yes I do know the owner I dont think I would be shocked at all at the price as I have some idea, I cannot however give the owners Tel No out without his permission and he unfortunately has not been keeping the best of health. I will see if I can contact him no promises though. Cheers Len.
GJUK Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 I'm stunned at how clean the inside is! My new company car wasnt that clean when it got to me after 50 miles!!! Amazing.

I also wonder what happened to NHK 282M, the press demonstrator RS3100 that was restored in the early 90s but seems to have disappeared now Hello Len, I remember now there are two Perana at the Suffolk Capri Club, one may be the red one you mentioned and the other is yellow, they look good. Thanks Peter
rscapriman Posted January 24, 2007 Author Report Posted January 24, 2007 Hi Peter, I know the 2 you are talikng about, but the red car I am talking of was registered TPR 528X it was Sunset Red when it was imported it was then resprayed Yellow but still kept the same Reg No. I was told at the time that manual cars were Yellow and Autos were Red looking back I'm not sure this was true as I've seen Maize Yellow cars and Blue one since. But with regard to TPR does it still exist and has it ever been re-registered ( with an age related plate) the owner of the car back then was Richard. I believe the red car you know of is Metalic Red not unlike Jupiter Red I saw the 2 Peranas together at Ford Fair last year. I'll sort some photos out of the car I am waffling about. Cheers Len.

rscapriman Posted January 25, 2007 Author Report Posted January 25, 2007 Nice one V6Pop, yes I have owned a few of those in the past, I'm sure your one is an original but there were a few fakes floating about the only way to tell the difference was the overall dimensions. Cheers RScapriman.
