so to get this straight. get a head start grinding away till what? or when? if it is or was then why aint everyone doing heads and earning out of it? any body can grind away at a head and most will or have fooked more then a few up beleive i know as ive had to put them right. once this head is done get someone to put it on a mflow bench and see how you.ve done and take note of the hours you put in and wasted

Chill out mate, it's not a big deal. It's not exactly like he's stealing your business is it!

i dont need to chill im stating a fact. if i was'nt then there would be no firms needing to do heads as if it was as easy as it sounds everyone would do there own.

You do. I never said you weren't stating a fact. This is an open forum where every one can express their own views and I respect that you have that view, being a professional.

My point was, if one guy in a shed fooks up his head, is it your problem?

I'll leave you to work the answer out for yourself.

yes it turns in to our or other's problem in trying to put fook ups right when all go's wrong in the shed. never mind A. happy porting

vizard is a very very good technical author as stated above!!! like i've said, everybody has to start somewhere, give it a go. The worst thing you can do is fook it right up but you learn from mistakes don't you? Just get another head and either bite the bullet or try again.

Do recommend on testing the head on a flow bench as sambo said.

I did my first cyclinder head by myself while working at Vulcan and ended up in hospital twice in 2 days for getting a bit of metal under my eye lid

I did a good job on the head tho Steve said :mrgreen:

I was allways tought that if you can pull a mouse right through a port from one end to the other by its tail then the port is big enough for the job!

the problem is by the time i got to the second port the mouse escaped...

i took so flaming long looking for the mouse that i found it easier to get the heads done propperly by someone that knows what they are doing...

and as a bonus i dont have to keep mice anymore too!
