nitrousnutter Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 went on first date last night with a girl (shes mad on beetles and campers) so i took the capri out, we were down the front having a bag of chips after going for a drink and sat chatting for half hour with engine running and heater on as full as poss lol, the old girl started to want to cut out and i had to rev to keep it going, then i drove off and it was missing and farting up the hill and wouldnt pull away i was just laughing mind you so was she lol, the old girl got all choked up and was playing up till i dropped said girl at hers but on way home i gave it a good bootfull and was fine after that! moral of story... your cars do get jealous! dont forget that people lol
Grizzley Dell Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 its not my cars that gets jealous, its the mrs. im sure most of our mrs's get that way when we lavish time, affection, care and shed loads of dosh on our osf's. think how many pairs of shoes or underwear sets you could buy them for the cost of that essential set of rims.
mexman123 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Bag of chips, you know how to spoil a girl, dont ya !! Take it a second date is out of the question??
samurai Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Better luck getting a taxi next time and getting her drunk
X-pack-Glyn Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Took a girl out in my cappa last night and it broke down lol Thats the spirit... you mate will go a long way Next time though try to break down in lovers lane (theres one near everyone isnt there). i hope you made sure you were miles from anywhere and the car was fully warmed up first!
GT_lenny Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 ahh that old chestnut. "oh dear we seem to have broken down miles from anywhere lets just park up for a bit i'm sure it'll be fine when its cooled down" when i was about 18-19ish i had washer jet set in front of the rad for extra "effect" ---- Hows that for a "Top Tip"

deltamal Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Used to have a "special " switch on my Zephyr, car mysteriously used to work again after an hour or so! An hour!! Young ladies had to be home early in those days!
Sheepy Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 my old man used to have a mk1 cortina when he was 17/18 ish, he took a girl out to the bowling alley, then on way home they stopped off in the parking behind a cemetry, and while they was fooling around, he must have knocked the handbrake off, it was a very slight gradient, and the car rolled forward and over the berm at the edge of the car park area! he was stuck, so embarrassed had to call out his mates for help! not sure if he got a second date, i will have to ask him!
Mexico Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 my bloody mrs used to hate me taking her out in the 100e. All i got was: ''Its too noisy!'' ''Do you have to rev it that much?'' ''Why does the gearstick rattle like that?'' ''Why does your handbrake work the wrong way round?'' ''Why can't you get a car like that?'' (Pointing to a pink KA with chrome wheels lol) She didnt last long ... well bout a week after I said I was getting a new car lol she got all excited thinking it was a new Golf and i turned up with a Mk1 Escie
2litreScapri Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 This story makes me chuckle. My mate's Cappa is like that, hence the reason it's called Christine, it does get jealous! After I bought my Capri & my best mate (who loves fast cars, especially Capris & she gets off on them!) started riding around in mine my mate's started playing up, nearly cutting out, etc etc. Ok so it is a bit sick at the mo, but it really doesn't like being put up against mine. Both are 2.0 Pintos, but his is a Laser which was more of a dog when he got it, & he has the addition of an decent exhaust & fast road cam, & my S was a dry stored summer use only bog standard example. My best mate calls the other Capri the "wife", & my Capri the "mistress"!
Stu_B Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 My car doesn't get jealous... it just hates me!
