one-day Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 PETROL PRICES - PLEASE READ AND JOIN!!! We are hitting 114.9 a litre in some areas now, soon we will be faced with paying 1.50 a ltr. How about this offered as a good idea: This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT,whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the market place not sellers. With the price of petrol going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. Here's the idea: For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP. If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!! Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!! I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it... .. THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all You have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.(and not buy at ESSO/BP) How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8days!!! Acting together we can make a difference . If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE 90p a LITRE RANGE It's easy to make this happen. Just join this group and get all your FB friends to join or forward as an email to everyone in your address book, and buy your petrol at Shell, Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons Jet etc. i.e.. boycott BP and Esso

bortaf Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Not again, every time the prices go up one of thiese bloody posts appear and yet it does no good you know why cos the price of petrol is high cos of the tax the GOVERMENT stick on top, ill say that again THE GOVERMENT not the fuel companys. That's why these posts are a waist of time, the OPs dont even know what the hell they are talking about, then come up with the same old plan that never works but word it differant to make it sound like an origional idea. Now i've just waisted 5 miins of my life posting the same response to the same idea i posted a reply to last year and the year before that and the year before that and still here we're back in the same place reading the same old same old. Dam somone owes me 5 mins of my lide back
livewire7116 Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 you will never get them to drop prices, as for not buying from Esso there are 2p a litre cheaper than the others down here at 115.9p Best thing we can do is all stop whinging and just pay up, if you dont like it buy a cheaper to run car or a push bike, we drive osfs because we love them not cos they are cheap on fuel,

one-day Posted March 29, 2010 Author Report Posted March 29, 2010 see it's the problem in this country too much negativity
CossiePower Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 only thing that acualy made a difference for a while was the fuel strikes none is orginiseing one of them anymore so nothing is done, simple most of the uk just bend over and let the govenment shaft us then just moan about it and not do nothing no point complaining then not doin anything might as well enjoy driving and stop complainging unless some propper auction is goin to be taken which works like a fuel strike
stuartp Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 lowering petrol prices by forwarding spam messages I wish there were an answer to force the government to add less tax onto fuel but i'm sure this ain't it
VivaLaRic Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 We just need to buy loads of those sainsburys own brand onion ring crisps, it wont help matters but theyre damn tastey!
livewire7116 Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 fuel blockades dont work either! "Q" what does everyone do the day before a strike"? "A" we all panic buy fuel and the companys have a bumber sales day"! "Q" what do we do if we forgot to buy fuel and the blockades are lifted"? "A" we rush out and panic buy incase they blockade again"! so final result is the fuel companys dont actually lose any money!
