Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 2 local lads today (at primary school) were locked out of the school but still on the premises, theyve broken windows, hurled abuse at parents collecting younger children, thrown stones at teachers(from the roof of a out building) whats hapening, why werent either their parents told to escort them off the premises or the police called little shits
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 cut thier hands off........problem solved King heads not hands
Andrade Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 well if their actions reflect anything on how they were brought up it doesnt take much to imagine why

Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 11, 2010 Admin Report Posted May 11, 2010 BRING BACK THE KANE You're far too young to remember that from your school days ... however, we did get the cane at our school on a regular basis
Trevmk3 Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 BRING BACK THE KANE You're far too young to remember that from your school days ... however, we did get the cane at our school on a regular basis should of behaved yoursen Jo
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 the cane stopped while i was at school, once i got threatened with the cane, i remember one teacher who used a slipper, and once me and 2 mates got slapped an the backs of our hands by the teacher
caprinerd Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 we had the cane, plimsole, blackboard rubber (fecking hurt when that hit you at full pelt), had the cane a few times, kids know that teachers aint got a leg to stand on now
Trevmk3 Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 we even had the board rubber thrown at us a few times aswell as text books, it was only one of the teachers that used to do it, proper oldskool he was
accord83 Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I remember being badger striped by a board rubber bouncing off my head, I also remember getting the cane from a tiny nun when at primary school, she used to leap in the air before bringing it down on your hand, it was like the Blues Brothers!!
RossMK2 Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 i have to admit you can get away with anything now
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 12, 2010 Admin Report Posted May 12, 2010 we even had the board rubber thrown at us a few times aswell as text books, it was only one of the teachers that used to do it, proper oldskool he was My mum's a proper old skool teacher (retired now) but she was a perfect shot with the board rubber She also had eyes at the back of her head and could hear a whisper at the back of the room whilst writing on the blackboard, promptly turn 180º and lob the board rubber and hit the target with perfection Ahhh, the good old days .... at least kids had a little more respect than they do now
SmokeEm Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Some of us were good boys Jo and didn't need the blackboard rubber chucking at us
Nicks53 Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Fortunately, I missed out on the dreaded birch by a year. Kids do seem to get away with anything but then I remember being in primary school and hearing someone say something like "you can't touch me, I'll sue you" which is stupid but unfortunately, I suppose it's quite possible. Teachers don't deserve that much stick from kids.
Admin Vista Posted May 12, 2010 Admin Report Posted May 12, 2010 I'm all for corporal punishment in schools, I'd support anything that gave teachers abit more control and ability to discipline unruly kids. Perhaps if kids in schools hadn't got to a position where they feel they can run amok without fear of real retribution, then incidents like this where teachers are driven out of their minds wouldn't occur at all. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/jul/0 ... -mansfield http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/u ... 111814.ece I was caned, slippered and even got it with a cricket shoe once. BUT, I draw the line at throwing board rubbers around. All of the above are targeted but chucking a board rubber across the room at someone has far too much potential to cause real injury.
Kasper Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I had a teacher of the old skool variety. If he caught you not paying attention or talking or anything like that you got the edge of a ruler across your knuckles! Frickin' hurt, you soon got back to work...
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 12, 2010 Admin Report Posted May 12, 2010 I don't think that kids should be slapped, hit, bashed, or physically harmed in anyway .... but I do think that there should be some way of getting them to conform and respect the teacher/person in authority ... there is no way we would have spoken to our teachers in the way some kids do today, let alone taunt them I went into my kid's school to attend a meeting a few weeks ago and I have to say I was appauled to see a (male) teacher with his face inches away from a pupil (male) and shouting at the lad top of his voice, in fact I would go as far as to say he was virtually screaming at the lad, in the corridor between lessons. If he had been shouting at my son like that, I would have gone over and marched my child out of the school and punched the teacher on the nose Having said that ... the lad was just grinning like a Cheshire cat because it was clear that the teacher could do nothing more than shout and the lad knew it Not sure what the answer is though....
Admin Vista Posted May 12, 2010 Admin Report Posted May 12, 2010 I... there is no way we would have spoken to our teachers in the way some kids do today, let alone taunt them That's because they could cane the shit out of us for it! My mother and father were both teachers. My father had the good fortune to spend most of his career teaching in Private schools so didn't see so much of it but I lost count of the number of times my mother came home upset, overly stressed and on occasion fearful after incidents with kids that she could do nothing about. I'd have liked to have beaten the crap out of the kid concerned and then started on the parents. Eventually she had to take early retirement through ill health.
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 i had a black board rubber thrown at me but didnt hit me not sure if it was "not allowed in 1985 86 " also i did get hit on the head with a piece of wood (that King hurt) and it wasnt even me messing about, the lad who it was actually owned up. if i saw that teacher now id punch him and remind him of the incident because he didnt even appoligise when the other kid owned up
