stuartp Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 for me, probably the light blue mk1 cortina with the circles on it that looked awesome and was killer on the strip think it was at chelsea last week too this one
Johnson Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 i could look at this anglia for hours i cant believe how complex it all is and how everything is custom made to inter twine with eveything else. loved the alloy tube welded throught the charge cooler tank for the throttle cable to go through and the charge cooler rad that vents through the floor from below the headlight
Skoty Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 i did spend a while looking around that 'anglia' not much of an anglia really haha. awesome bit of design and fabrication work.
Pipster007 Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 I know that using fibre glass or carbon fibre is a good light weight material to save bodyweight with, but I think it was taking it to the extreme with just removing body work
GT_lenny Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 posse's and wilsys escort's both looked great as did drivers, and that gunmetal grey mk1 with the XE lump in but as it got me there and back with zero hassle i've got to say my cortina pleased me the most ha ha
ZetecTinaLee Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Thats my mk1 cortina Yes she was at chelsea last week! Really good day
Kieran Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Thats my mk1 cortina Yes she was at chelsea last week! Really good day Very quick m8 Whats your best time?
leecccmk1 Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 posse's and wilsys escort's both looked great as did drivers, and that gunmetal grey mk1 with the XE lump in but as it got me there and back with zero hassle i've got to say my cortina pleased me the most ha ha i think the escort mentioned is mine i had loads of favorite cars the maroon anglia on the cf stand was lovely, there were some real nice cars there its hard to have just 1 favorite

leecccmk1 Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 yep thats mine it was my first show with it as its not long been finished, i have to say i did get a warm welcome from many people & was very happy to be part of the osf stand & the attension the car got was amazing. i will get some pics up....promise
stuartp Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Thats my mk1 cortina Yes she was at chelsea last week! Really good day cool well your car is awesome sir! me and my mate both agreed it was our favourite
louie bagel Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 loved the artwork on darren's scort, also agree with luke about the capri on bands thought that was ace last year, and the green zepher 6 still my fav from last year (i want one), did anyone else see the grey corsair v6 that was next to the osf stand very cool imo
over_head_cam Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 I'm certainly biased to a particular flagged Mk1 Escort and a spangley yellow Mk2. There were so many top motors there that it would be impossible to choose. I'm deffo impressed with the quality of OSFs in attendance
ZetecTinaLee Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Cheers stuartp!! Makes it all worth it! Kieron, best time was the 11.58! It was my first ever go at the pod yesterday so i think the car has more to give... on that run it lost power 3 quarters of the way down also so im hoping maybe next time 10s on the cards?! Might of hit a limiter of some sort so markshead thinks, he who maps it... Had a good look round your motor too... top piece a kit and sounds awsome!! cheers liam
mk2cortinadan Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 im showing me 42 years of age here! but this really done it for me so straight and running a 302 i think?
Toby Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Kieron, best time was the 11.58! It was my first ever go at the pod .........Might of hit a limiter of some sort so markshead thinks, he who maps it... liam That's good going mate - very impressive. What sort of power is it making and what was your terminal speed on runs with full power all the way to the end?
ZetecTinaLee Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Toby, the 11.58 time was 119 terminal, also did a 11.9 at 120 then a 12 dead with 121 and a 12.2 at 114 The 12.2 i let off before the line as it was my first ever pod run and cocked up basically... Got a poor start on the 12.0, wheelspin The 11.9 also got a poor start, bogged down a bit.. As for power im not sure, somewhere around the 400hp i should think Really enjoyed the new experience though and will def be back for more How come you werent there? cheers liam
Johnson Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 liam i also loved your tina's engine bay...monster snail power
Lukey Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Lukey's Cortina, Escort21's Capper (these were already faves but great to see 'em in the metal) and the G.S.Escorts turbo pinto Very kind stoob!, went down really well even if i did get towed most of the way there and back due to blown head gasket! cheers again

Flipping good first go! Long list of excuses as to my absence - dented car, still not fixed. 2 friends changed their mind on going, I weighed up the choices and considering the weather forecast thought I'd go to a family friends wedding and see how Sunday morning looked. Got to bed too late, woke up too late, thought can't be bothered to risk the journey as it might rain and I couldn't race anyway Wish I'd come just to see yours go!
ZetecTinaLee Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 No probs.. Well get ya dent sorted...!! How'd that happen? Is it something that'l pop out, any paint needed?
