monkeymoreton Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 i purchased m16 calipers and they were faulty and the spacer kit had one bolt that was the wrong size. just curious if anyone else had any problems i'll be phoning them tomoz hope fully they will be helpful and just send me replacements.
Pipster007 Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 I've never had any probs. They're pretty good, I believe, when it comes to returns and replacements
RossMK2 Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 neither have i ordered 2" lowering stuff but decided to go one 1" sent it back and they swaping for 1" stuff
monkeymoreton Posted June 15, 2010 Author Report Posted June 15, 2010 good good i won't worry then the faulty calipers arn't there fault as they are recons so it's the company who recon'd them and i presume they get the spacer kits in bulk so that wouldn't be them any way another question the pads they supplied me are the mintex racing ones and on the box it says do not use on public highways should i be worried ?
X FLOW EDDY Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Rally Re-design Same heare There stuff is ok and it is cheep BUT you do have to fiddle with it to get it to fit some times, i have had to redrill both there billet rack mounts ( which wouldnt even fit there own wcxm !!) and there twin cam anti roll bar mounts for my mk2 escort. And the fit on there panhard rod kit left a bit to be desired !! If i was to do it again i will go for Gartrac gear, you pay a bit more but it is cock on every time.
285Andy Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 no, ive always had good service from them and as a few other have mentioned though, ive had a few small issues with fit on one or two of there fabricated parts. nothing i couldnt sort out very easily though
Arched Escy Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 There stuff is ok and it is cheep BUT you do have to fiddle with it to get it to fit some times. This, generally just cheap all round!
Toby Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 the pads they supplied me are the mintex racing ones and on the box it says do not use on public highways should i be worried ? Don't over spec your brake pads or they'll not be as good as standard brakes from cold. They'll be better noce they're hot but you may have run your neighbour's cat over by then..... I found this for you - "The M series compounds have a race history of over 40 years. They offer good stability, good pedal control and high fade resistance in a temperature band up to around 1100°F (600°C) and require minimal bedding in. M1122 offers medium fade resistance, especially suitable for lightweight applications such as karting. M1144 is a fast road and light circuit use material with positive pressure modulation and medium fade resistance. Requires no more bedding in than a standard pad. M1155 an M1166 are race-only materials with positive pressure modulation and high fade resistance. Suitable for Group A and N Rally, Dirt, Track and Circuit use." Modern standard pads are pretty good - unless you're going to drive like a loon or do track days I'm lead to believe "hard" pads can be squeaky and not good cold.
willmk2 Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 i ordered two wingmirrors they said one will take about three months and the other is in stock and will be dispatched immidiatly,, 4 weeks on i have none still! :s
PaulMags Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I bought a brake kit from them but bolts were wrong to fit onto legs
w p e Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 quality control comes to mind and every company needs igt so prehaps the question needs to be asked. WHO'S IN CHARGE OF THERE QUALITY CONTROL?
