M11rf Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Here is my more door 4AGE... Engine pic when i bought it... a bit messy... Bit of a tidy up... and remove the wing mirrors Nice and solid... I'm planning on banding out the steels and lowering it...
2litreScapri Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Nice, solid motor, but why the Toyota engine in it? What's the history?
M11rf Posted June 17, 2010 Author Report Posted June 17, 2010 Ford engines are hard to find here, and expensive to maintain... Everyone has Toyota/Nissan parts available and knows how to fix them, so when the Ford engine breaks, they usually swap them for a Jap motor.
Stu_B Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Nice, solid motor, but why the Toyota engine in it? What's the history? Its basically a BDA! Twin cam 1600 & front bowl sumped, almost identical in size, stroke etc
Stiggy Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Its basically a BDA! Twin cam 1600 & front bowl sumped, almost identical in size, stroke etc Except it revs properly
2litreScapri Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Ah, so this is why it's used alot in engine conversions. You learn something new everyday!
Boreham Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Nice, solid motor, but why the Toyota engine in it? What's the history? Its basically a BDA! Twin cam 1600 & front bowl sumped, almost identical in size, stroke etc I 've herd that old wifes tale before..wonder is it true...
M11rf Posted June 17, 2010 Author Report Posted June 17, 2010 Take a look for yourself... This is my Mk1 with a 4AGE in.
Stiggy Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 That is good. This has a bit more potential and demonstrates what can be done although the 20 V not 16V. Excuse the crazy Japanese.
30psi MK2 CORTINA Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Yeah... i can vouch for how good the 4age is especialy in turbo form
