SO a big nightmare has turned out to be a blessing in disguise , i was meant to have my welding done this month on my mk1 capri by someone else. but work fooked me about with my pay, so i lost all hope and started thinking of getting rid of the car .

but then after a chat with a friend we decided to go halfs on a welder , AND boy am i glad i did !!!

I would Just like to say i know am still not perfect but i have never welded before and i probably done about 20minutes practice prior to this, so i know iv still got a way to go , but its seem welded, i only blew through once and i got decent penertration :)

nothing wrong with them welds mate don't worry about making them pretty that'll come with practice for now it'll just take a bit more "dressing" with the grinder- and thats if your bothered its the strength of th weld that matters

thats after i cut the wing and repaired the sill, half of that piece of wing i cut was 2" thick filler. so i did this. not pretty but with a thin skim it will look ok. i hope, its gonna be a ratrod anyway.
