xpackken Posted August 15, 2010 Author Report Posted August 15, 2010 i dont know , why i have been so scared of weldin in the past , im glad i am not any more the best i did thou was buy a decent gas welder !!!!!
youngpecker Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Practice makes perfect!,good effort.
GT_lenny Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 nothing wrong with them welds mate don't worry about making them pretty that'll come with practice for now it'll just take a bit more "dressing" with the grinder- and thats if your bothered its the strength of th weld that matters
FredTransit Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 I am impressed! Got a first attempt that looks good to me, and trust me. I have seen a lot of welding. A lot. I have multiple Mk2 transits!
zetecmk2 Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 that looks good my mate can weld wood together!!! i got my mig fired up last week after it sat in the garden for 5 yrs!! ps...i need gas!!!
deltamal Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Not bad mate! good penetration, the neatness comes with practice
Grizzley Dell Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 well played dude, good to see people having a go. i did my first bit of body repair last week and was pleased with the result. check it out. thats after i cut the wing and repaired the sill, half of that piece of wing i cut was 2" thick filler. so i did this. not pretty but with a thin skim it will look ok. i hope, its gonna be a ratrod anyway. . . after the grinder and a slap of paint it aint pretty but its all metal.
