Savvi Posted October 16, 2011 Author Report Posted October 16, 2011 At the moment i still need a minimum order of at least 5 to do it at that price. If anyone else is definatly interested then stick names down here, i will need at least a deposit, full cost's would be preferred, i will need to do it through my business but that means i can take credit card, paypal, cheques the Vat is included and that's the cheapest i can do !!!! If i get a min order quickly then they wont be labelled up as Savvitrak, top ups will be via myself & email and may take a little longer until i get the automatic system in place, but that wont be a problem, i just like to be honest and up front !!!!
Savvi Posted October 21, 2011 Author Report Posted October 21, 2011 Finally got this sorted today i can only have 5 units quickly so got them secured, leads work out at £16.00 each. I've already sold 4 of the units ......... Herb Capri i have one reserved for you ? Please let me know asap. More stock will be in mid next week, so i can take orders for then, however i knew some people wanted these urgently. Total price will be £196 including 12v charge lead and postage via signed for courier service. Please send Paypal payment to colinrowe@excite.com Please make sure that you include your name (including screen names), contact details, address to where you wish these to be sent to, make sure someone will be in to sign for it !!!! I'm hoping i can post them out by Tuesday next week once i've received payment. I will over the weekend do an easy setup guide and put a copy in with your tracker including the web address and url's for you to access viewing. Thanks Colin
stuartp Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 Excellent I definitely want one of these. Don't mind waiting until you get more next week though as I'll also have been paid at the end of the month
PlopPlop Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 do these work when they're well hidden or do they need a line of sight for satellites? cheers
Savvi Posted October 21, 2011 Author Report Posted October 21, 2011 I have one "hidden" in my cars and they still work fine If it went into a metal container then it most probably would stop working BUT with the history reports you will be able to follow the tracker right up until it went into that container, so in effect it leaves you a trail to follow which Police could tie up with any cctv pics etc. You can also buy a seperate antenna which plugs into the side of it which would boost signal if you wanted to, so far i've not found i needed it on my vehicles.
Savvi Posted October 28, 2011 Author Report Posted October 28, 2011 I had a few questions off the lads on Turbosport so i've stuck it here so you can all have a read 1. will the lack of google map/earth be a problem? No you dont need google earth installed on your Pc, it runs on a program called Microsoft Silverlight, you may need to install that but it tells you when you click on the link you will get with the unit 2. i use what would be considered an old phone now days (sony erricson k800i) will the phone features still work for me? The phone browser is very new to me, i was told about it yesterday !!!! So far it's worked on all internet phones i've tried it with but cant be sure of yours ...... try it ............ i'l Pm you a link. 3. can i send the tracker timer things to any space of intervals i fancy, like every 1 minute and 47 seconds if needs be? Yes .......... it's done in set intervals 3/5 sec upto 4 hrs i believe, you just click on a button on the panel which option you want. 4. if so is it easy to do this and do i do this with it plugged into the computer or does the tracker contain buttons to press and prod? You dont need to touch the tracker to do anything, mine is fitted in the car, hard wire (connected to car battery) everything is done from the web. 5. also i'm still confused a little about credits and checks, you say £40 will get you 40,000 credit tracker things, does it only start sending tracker check point location things when you exit your "bubble" and when requested or does it do it constantly? The tracker sends data back at set intervals to say where it is, the newer version which im offering will only do that when it's moving or you press the "locate" me now button which then sends and receives a text message giving you exact location, the "bubble" side is what you can set up so it alerts you when it's moved outside your set area and is just another feature that's been added. 6. how do i top it up, do i buy one of those 16 digit top up vouchers? if so how to i type the code in? You top up by going to my web site http://www.savvitrak.co.uk click on top ups ...... purchase by using the drop down menu and paying via paypal you MUST tell us your id number so we can add the credits to your account, this can take upto 24hrs so dont leave it until you have run out !!!! Your amount of credits left are displayed on the control panel bottom right corner. 7. is software for the computer included or do i need to download it, or does it not need software? It's web based you dont need software for it to run, only Microsoft Silverlight and an internet connection, on the mobile you dont even need that, you can also use the mobile phone version on a Pc but it cuts down the features and wont "look" right as it's been designed for a small screen. 8. will it work on windows xp? Yes 9. you mentioned 2 different types, is the one your selling the one that turns itself off if the car is stationary for a period of time? It goes into sleep mode, as soon as it's moved it wakes up, battery life is shown on the panel and it will text oe email if battery gets low to give you time to charge it back up, battery life is extended on the newer model because of this feature, the old version is awake all the time so battery dies more quickly. 10. and if it isn't, will it continue to send and waste more tracker location credits every 1 minute and 47 seconds for example if the car is parked up for the night? No it only send data / uses credits when it's moving, im tight and that's why i use it, i've used a 800 credits in about 8 mths .

Savvi Posted November 11, 2011 Author Report Posted November 11, 2011 I have the minuim needed to order now, anyone intersted let me know asap might be the last batch before Xmas as money normally starts getting tight about this time of the year !!!!! Paypal £196 colinrowe@excite.com please send as a gift to include Name, Address, Username, and a contact number. If you need to pay with a card i need to add the Vat on which adds another £20 and you will need to call me on 07770978154 i can then give you a Vat receipt, this is due to keeping the prices right down for the private guys, i've used my respray fund to buy these in for you at a good price rather then putting through through the business as it's only low numbers.

herb capri Posted November 13, 2011 Report Posted November 13, 2011 well savvi ,now getting smart with the tracker, as i went to wales to see wrc on saterday, i worked out from wrc info which car park i was using and set up a "geofence" on those sites from home so if anyone took the car id know about it. [i know i could of done it there with my mobile but the phone coverage is very sketchy] well it worked well as i left each car park i got a message telling me the car was moving out of that area! well cool tool this!! mike
Savvi Posted November 14, 2011 Author Report Posted November 14, 2011 Thanks again for the feedback I have another lot on it's way to me this week, a couple of peeps off here and bought this time around. I really would like to make a video of one in action until you see it you dont realise jusy how good this little thing is, i find it hard to explain all the functions, although it's easy to setup, pics say a 1000 words, but i'm not good at that sort of thing !!! I'm gonna try to do some filming and see if i can string something togeather, but will need to wait until i get a new desktop as my current one stops if i try to do anything like that now !!!
Savvi Posted November 17, 2011 Author Report Posted November 17, 2011 Units posted off today to the guys that paid New list going for anyone else wanting one.
Savvi Posted November 17, 2011 Author Report Posted November 17, 2011 A little homemade demo for setting it up http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/ff23 ... akDemo.mp4
stuartp Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 i should probably have thought of this question earlier but when i get in my car and drive somewhere what is the easiest way to make it not start wasting my credits? - can i switch it off using the internet control panel before i leave (or on my phone if i'm outside already?) or do i have to fish my tracker unit out and turn it off each time i drive? i too am tight and don't want to be wasting texts and position credits if i don't have to
Savvi Posted November 24, 2011 Author Report Posted November 24, 2011 Set it for the longest time period, you can fish it out and turn it off, but then it will take time to "cold start" itself to find out where it is and to pick up sats. When you drive it you will use a credit when it wakes, credits while your moving, so if it's set for 10 mins and you drive for 23 mins you use a further 2 credits then one for it to state where it is before going to sleep ......... so in this case you use 4 credits. If your out using the car i'd still keep it switch on as you never know when it could go missing !!!
