I was told last week about a mk2 RS2000 that is in a garage and the owner has had for almost 20 years! I am going to see it today as the owner has decided to sell it! I am unsure of condition etc. Will get some pics and if the car and price is right then i best clear a space in the workshop!!!

I do love them, i remember a mk3 tina on ebay ages ago, just been pulled outta a barn, was all dusty, look a right heap, the gave gave it a quick clean, and under all the dirt, it was spotless :lol:

This sounds good, can't wait to see the pics. Theres a guy who lives about half a mile from me has a red RS2000 Mk2 in his garage and has had it since new. Its falling apart now. I went down with mine to see it but he wouldn't even leave his house to talk, he sent his wife out to get rid of me. He's an older man and has no interest but won't entertain any enquiry about it. Sad or what.

i kno of many of these famous guys that hide osf's.

there was 2 mk3 cortinas jus a short drive from mine an the guy wouldn't sell them to anybody... after all that saw it dragged out this morning :-(

another has a mk1 cortina estate.....

another has a mint mk1 rs2000 absolutely full of rs bits and everything still on it too.. remarcably its outside.. must be the only (and tinyest) part of england that doesn't rain... the guys all have no ambition of restoring them or putting them back on the road, just willing to let them rot :sad::sad::sad::sad:

Its because alot of them cant do anything with them as have no ability to repair or money but they are that petrified that somebody buys it and makes it nice and sells it and earns a few quid!!! They would rather let them rot away than risk somone possibly making a tenner!!

If you can find a RS model and you can do all the resto yourself to a good standard then there is a very good chance you will make £1000's
