DEP Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 As some of you know, I blew my cossie powered escort up earlier in the year at round 2 of the OSFDC, Because FOE was coming back, DEP got pushed into the garage and forgotten about , Anyway as i have this week off, i thought it was time to assess the damage, So off came the head, and this is what i found Looks like number 2 piston has had it Bits of piston The piston

DEP Posted September 14, 2010 Author Report Posted September 14, 2010 Have nt checked properly yet m8, cant see anything obvious, but im sure there s a bent valve in there or 2 , Got a friend popping round in the week to have a proper look at it for me
zetecmk2 Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 you need to find out the cause....or u will melt the new piston head came off easy then why the head's off, check the valve seating using thinners or spirit wipe poured in the upside down combustion chamber....unless you don't need to because the valves are like bananas!!
