Davewrc Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 The twin is the thickest IIRC and the one to go for
samurai Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 Twincam is 20mm dia right? Same standard arb?
Admin Vista Posted September 23, 2010 Admin Report Posted September 23, 2010 Twincam is 20mm dia right? Same standard arb? 22mm I think, have a browse through retro's room on the twin cam ARB question, it's been asked a few times. For instance: http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... highlight= http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... highlight=
samurai Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 I have a mexico so mexico arb brakets and 2.8i legs with -2 inch springs. So any 22mm anti roll bar is the best with the set up i have at mo?
PlopPlop Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 I'm no expert but I think if you uprate your springs and shocks by a considerable amount then you need a stiffer roll bar to suit, at the end of the day its to control body roll, I have an Impreza with adjustable roll bars front and rear and just altering the stiffness slightly transforms the car from an understeering to oversteering one, I have a 22mm roll with 180lb springs on my pinto 100e and it works brilliantly, if not a bit hard
samurai Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 I think maybe a trip back to Gartrac is needed
bomber1 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 the twink arb is for when you use the double width kit on the front of the arb otherwise it will push your wheels to far forward
samurai Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 Whats the standard mex arb dia size? Saw this the other day... looks like i was driving around with 1/16 of a rack as that the only shiny bit! The rest must of been an old crack! Maybe this is the reason i had a crash! I just took my streering rack off Fu*ked The pinion looks ok tho
