According to morcheen (another Old Skool Ford member) it is (or was rather ) a special order car built for the police that had an AVO chassis plate...!!! That is (sorry, was!) probably the rarest Mk1 Granada in the world...

JAY PS Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Right this lot from the old days My dads 3.0GHIA in 85 and another oynx green ghia This was taken in 85 turned up on ebay a couple of years ago 3.0Ghia Coupes you cant beat them 3.0s later was fitted with cossie lump ,car was ex-police and was stolen shortly after pics were taken ,rumours it had a stolen engine fitted ?then it dissappeared was in all the mags of the time 2.8i was/is the same car used in series 1 Ashes to ashes Glaeaming exec had chrome and walnut everywhere ,black 2.8i was another ex-ford car Paul Farrers Colman Milne Streached Granny ,and the gold one appeared on ebay about 5 years ago ,the orginal owner is a leading light with a mint 2.8i x-pack in one of the granada clubs Ford Fair 1992 - and another red 2.8i owned by a friend of a friend in same era ,sadly was offered to me as scrap had a row with a van and lost was heavily side damaged Mk1 Was mine in 1988 2.0GL and the other Dorchester seen in Brighton 1985
