Who makes the best all round tyres? and what are they? I don't know which ones to go for and I don't want to buy some tyres then find theres better ones for the same price.

Personal experience is better than statistics on this one I reckon.

I have always used Dunlop sp sports, have used them up to 235/40/18. Great tyres, not too expensive, and very grippy in the dry...Only thing i noticed was that they werent the best in the wet...Cant get better than a Pirelli for the wet in my opinion. If i`ve had yokos, the always seemed to wear faster, or maybe that was just me

I have BFGoodrige on the front and never had a problem with grip but I have Yoko's A539's on the rears and not once has it steped out on me while I have been toolin around.

I also have monster camber on the rear end! and do around 75 miles a day but havnt changed the tyres in over 18 months  with the camber they wear on the inside edge but I just turn em round and start again.

I got 2 nails in one of them so I bought another pair of the A539's, not fitted them yet, but for a pair of them in 195/50/15's cost me £50 Bargin!

I wouldnt have anything else

Currently on my second set of Proxes T1's - superb in the wet although I have also had Yokohama AVS Sports which were even better but more expensive :D
