erick Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 This has got to be one of the best engines available for any classic ford, does anyone have or know someone with a warrior engine. There is an engine kit available from http://www.connaughtengines.co.uk/warrior.html based on a pinto bottom end capable of 238bhp@ 7200rpm and 185lb of torque, the price is……..£5.750 anyway that they could be a sponsor so we can get a discount.
jayson2.3pinto Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 yes nice bits thats a holbay head originaly they sold it to the new owners ? and connaught re casted the head more cam carriers and ports changed this kit is for the head only and cams you nead work done to pistons etc the head comes nearly 6 thousand pounds plus vat but these are quite a good head but as you ca see good money
deltamal Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Had a look at the warrier head for the YB cossie i'm building, phoned for price, starts at £5,000 ish! will open up the YB head and put in solid lifters!
Mr Sam Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 they've been in retro ford have they not?
jayson2.3pinto Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 the warrior heads are six grand plus vat thats everything ive had many a chat with them and seen them engines work na cosworth done the right way is very good as well and a lot cheaper ?
EscortDan Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 the warrior heasd is very good, the YB head can be made to do the same job, and on a 2.0l block can make 280hp in N/A as seen in the ford saloon car championship! Sounds just a good too, you can build a 240 ish hp N/A YB for around 4k complete, the head work is the most work on N/A YB, i do know a good place that will do it to the spec that is listed in the power tune book for a very good price. 4parajon Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Is it me or is that engine cocked over????? Is there a reason for it if its deliberate???

EscortDan Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 mmmmmm millington Diamond! Very nioce bit of kit but a hell of a lot of money! I assume it is 'cocked' to get a decent airflow into the throttle bodies, tis probably dry sumped as well!
