Can you powder coat an axle? or any other suggestions?

Looking at painting the axle but whats best to use?

I've always used good old Smoothrite tbh

You can powder coat it but it's not advisable as an axle is vulnerable to damage from stone chips etc and to repair any damage to the powder coat you need to redo the whole thing rather than just touch it up.

I used Hammerite for painting the axle,all the black parts are powdercoated

had all my radius arms and axle casing powder coated. easy to wipe clean and pretty hard wearing

handy! i've just painted a load of bits, but i will have some more brackets at somepoint, so might get then done now if you are that close.

 

i've got a white mk3 capri on slots, or you might have seen me in a white e30 or silver e30 with black bbs's..
