davis89 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 any ideas tips or advice please...i've got a mk1 fiesta on super sport rims i've now got a punchure & i cant get the locking wheel nuts of the back wheels because some nob has put them on with a air gun..has everyone know's there made from monkey metal...i cant heat the bolts up because it'll damage the alloy so what do i do???
.pete. Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 when I had a similar problem I had to get a socket over the end and hammer it on. I can't remember the size, but it had to be a socket with 12 teeth round the edge, not just a 6 sided one.

oxb1l Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 as above with the old socket or Snap on do a socket that the more you turn it the more it bites in to the locker have fun Bill
Fiesta Steve Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Snap on do a socket that the more you turn it the more it bites in to the locker I have those, they are excellent, if I was closer I'd get it off for you
livewire7116 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 get a nice big t bar and over tighten the other 3 first, as much as you dare then try the locker, then try the socket as well
supersport Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 what you need is a big breaker bar, a hammer and someone to help. put your locking key on, put breaker bar and socket on, then put some pressure on the breaker bar as to undo it, make sure you hold it square, then get someone to hit the breaker bar with a hammer, make sure its a decent sized one. normally works.
Grizzley Dell Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Snap on do a socket that the more you turn it the more it bites in to the locker I have those, they are excellent, if I was closer I'd get it off for you ditto, they are bloody good.
