bomber1 Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 i have been offered another mk1 escort twany brown 2door in very nice condition imo not seen a welder nor does it need to. bumpers are scruffy and paint is good bu laquer needs re doing at some point. 1300xl with opening rear qtr glass been off the road since 83? ive got to put a bid in on it?

A year or so later having done nothing more than washed it, it fetched about £1500 or £1600 I think. The car you're describing, I'd bid somewhere around the £2k mark but it's difficult to be precise on such little information.
dave waudby Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 id ask the owner what they want for it and go from there, you might be pleasantly supprised, but if they have in mind say £1000 and you go in and offer £2000 of corse they will say yes, if you get my drift, my mate just bought 2 x mk2 escorts 4 door ghias he paid £1250 for both got loads of bits too and instantly sold one on for £1050 and kept one for him self. good luck
