bortaf Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Me mate has a set on a Mk3, look surprisingly good on it, i do lioke a dumlop on a Mk1 not so nice on a Mk2 IMHO, no idea why though? probably a childhood trauma still need to drop the lotus tag though, WAY too many items mis labled on here and the rest of the web pedantic i know, i blame me Mum she used to go mad when i called her laser alloys RS 4 spokes
retrorigg Posted February 14, 2011 Author Report Posted February 14, 2011 tbh i totally couldnt think of anything but lotus, i knew they werent lotus and for some strange reason i couldnt remember the word dunlop, i did originally title this lotus alloys but then added the dunlop bit once it came to me , i even searched flebay for lotus alloys and was rackin my brain for the word (dunlop) still no response, its not looking likely ill end up with them, the worst thing is the car looked about ready for scrap (no offense to the owner) and i just know it,ll be scrapped with the wheels on

Chances are if he knows what he's got, he'll hang on to them or charge you handsomely! JBW reps seem ok, maybe with a Repro vinyl Dunlop insert? They may do a special on a wheel/tyre combo too?

442 Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 My brother (Lukey) bought a rough set of 5 for £50 off a bloke who thought they were nothing special!!!! Shotblasted and refurbed them and then sold em for £250 no tyres or centrecaps. Cool period wheel imho
