skr80a Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I have a vw, but I do know that at least one other member on this forum loves his Vauxhall as his main car Should it be a Ford or is that not a pre-requisite???
Smudger105e Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Did have an Escort estate, 1.8 DTi, but it was just about the most unreliable car I have ever owned. I scrapped it with 8 months MOT still on it. Only the Austin 1100 Princess I had 25 years ago was more unreliable. I now have a Rover 600 2.0 DTi, which is a peach, cosidering it only cost me £150 to buy...

Admin Vista Posted January 19, 2007 Admin Report Posted January 19, 2007 I have had a succession of nice and sometimes expensive modern cars, the one before my current Hack was a Mercedes SLK and I have to say it was the most unreliable piece of junk that has ever graced my drive. Fortunately it came with a warranty, but repair costs in the 30 months I owned it were in the region of £2500! Now? I have a diesel 4 door piece of French tat that is cheap to run, very comfortable, very well equipped and has never let me down depsite being high mileage and cheap to buy in the 1st place. Peugeot 406 110 HDi Executive
kms Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 My daily drive * waits for the abuse* is a Citroen ax GT - I've had it since I passed my test in 2000 and probably will never part with it. Simon's is his Cortina - he has always and will always drive OSF as his daily car.
DAZZA Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 The smart arse originator of this thread is refering to me and my Omega! Yes Alex, at least some of the guys on here use the vauxhall lump, cant see many OSFs running an oil burner lump that you fuel with half price chip fat from Ebay.
