deltamal Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I was a Rocker in the 60's, 50 or so of us in the Swindon area used to do the "seaside" runs at weekends, a lot of shouting and fists with the Mods but not as bloody as the papers made out, bit of a laugh and something to do at the weekend really! went to the 59 club a few times, and stopped at the Ace! still had an old Ford as well! more comfy for the ladies sorry boss don't like the scooter!

zetecmk2 Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 mods looked cool but rocker is easier to live with...... mod=concourse rs1600, hours of work before the public can see rocker=plated up 1.1L running a 180 bhp pinto that has an oil leak and blowing exhaust which is more fun?

dalmarshall Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Deffo a Mod, the clothes, the scooter, the music, wicked . This was my 63 series 3 LI. Did a nut and bolt resto in 98. It was a lovely scoot but as Ian says they rattle to bits, Vespas were much smoother. Fun and simple to restore, horrible to ride. Sold it last year as I never used it. Now I just like looking at them
