Just wondering when the fords night at ace cafe is going to be back? i know its been cancelled for a while and i really want to go to one

There is another ford night running although nothing to do with osf , it's organised by DJ Revs , I think the next one is the 6th December and you need to pre book to park in the car park

Any idea as to when the osf one is back? im not looking to park in the carpark as i drive a mk2 fiesta and will happily park elsewhere, just want to pop down and see some of the wonderful machinery on show

Correct, and the OSF meets that the ACE were running had nothing to do with us and were not sanctioned by us.

That's interesting, being new back to Ford and having visited the OSF night @ the Ace a few times in the past, I presumed it was organised by the site.

It was originally but we stopped organising them several years ago and notified the management of the ACE accordingly. They chose to continue to run them themselves presumably because they had good attendance and were profitable...................until it all went Pete Tong and then, surprise surprise, they blamed it on us and made a song and dance about it on their Still retards club page. Hence why OSF won't be associating with them again.

You lot need to lighten up, there would be no osf web site with out the

 

original Ace cafe/Boxhill/Grasshopper meets from several years ago imho.

I popped up the Chelsea Cruise at the end of Sept and there was a good turnout of OSF's. It reminded me of going up in my RS2 back in the 80's

cars and bikes and have never seen a burning police car ,just like minded

 

petrol heads having a good time on the whole.

 

If you wanna go to static shows ( which appear to have dwindling support) ,

 

do so, but don't put down people who like a bit more action,

 

in the right places.

I don't think anyone's putting down meets at the Ace, nor alternatives to static shows like cruises etc. We're just not happy that the Ace mismanaged their own event and sought to divert blame onto us. Plus, from what I've seen, the night that it all kicked off and they put a stop to future meets was a lot more than a bit of fun or action. Some of what went on was idiotic and down right dangerous.

I know Neil, trouble is little asides like these and your other one today on the

 

'spotted a mk1 mex at a gig' saying I would not leave that in a car park start

 

to give a very negative picture about actually using our osf's for what they

 

were meant for ,getting out in em and having a larf with other osf nutters

 

I think a possible cure to the folk that like to come along to osf meets and ruin

 

them for the true osf hard core is to make them less organised and more

 

random as they were a few years ago.

I understand what you are saying mark but do you agree that osf's go missing all the time and escorts more than most ? and that the jap twat chavs up the ace were totally out of control on the roadway + in the crowds ? I think we are all grown up on here + know the difference between being funny ( ironic ) + painting a bad picture of osf ownership . Its the way of the world atm sadly if you have anything nice someone out there will want to take it whether its an I pad or a car, people that know me ( like you have for 25 years ) should know what i'm like by now i'm a pisstaker but you can NEVER say i do anything negative towards osf's do you really think me saying "i would not leave that mex in a car park " would put people off owning one ? anyone can read the osf stolen room contents ( as its not hidden on a public search ) so surely anyone that has registered on the site will see all the hooligans + nutters we have on here having great times using + owning their cars + doing what they want to do with them, but if you asked every owner to answer a survey honestly about where they leave their osf's parked up i bet there would not be many that would say "i would park it anywhere" i am just being realistic surely ? sadly the old days of us going up the chelsea cruise + parking up under the railway bridge or some side street half a mile away + not worrying about you car are long gone mate. I know you live in the countryside + you only get tractor thefts down there but come on lets agree to disagree

Thing is mate, I like to get out and chat with a lot of the osf peeps,not just Boxhill but the Ace,Crawleymeets, Morley meets, Chelsea,Brands hatch old skool meets, Escort-tec boys etc, and I see a lot of people that don't wanna bring their cars out anymore,its fairly rare to see any of the osf commitee members either, so lets get on a positive and stop coming up with all of this negative twaddle,you even managed to do it in your last reply !
