Joined yesterday 24th Dec because I was looking for some info on a car I have just got, had no history as the previous owner said he didn't get any either. . Its a 1968 Mk2 series 1 cortina in light blue and by surprise i saw some pictures of it here. Looking forward to bringing it up to show condition over the next couple of years, but for now its my daily driver. So all i'm doing is keeping it going and trying to stop the water coming in through the window rubbers. Will be stripping the insides in a month or so to get rid of the small amount of rust and doing some minor welding. I've cured the electrical problems and got the dials to work so far. Cheers.

Lucky to get it at a good price too. She needs a fair amount of work, mainly all the rubbers in the doors and screens doing, as she leaks like a good un. Not too sure what I'm going to find when I do the front screen next week. Minor rust and the odd hole, but otherwise sound. And the engine runs real nice. once water tight she will be my daily runner. with me slowly bringing up to show condition over the next couple of years. bazza
