rallyesport04 Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 must be getting rare now you see less mk4/mk5 tinas than the older mk1 an mk2 althou given the choice a mk2 two door would be what the doctor ordered
Col-ashtonmobile Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 Love a mk4 cortina especially if its a 2.3 ghia auto with p.a.s
wayne Posted January 25, 2012 Author Report Posted January 25, 2012 thanks for the replys a left out the cortina was left to me by my granda and its the mk4 2L ghia in roman bronze metalic, tabaco vinyl roof with all kit for the year and 84k on the clock never been passed 60mph and prop never reved past 3 thousand rpm. The engine seems flat but it has been stored for 11 years.
deltamal Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Good to see another Cortina on the site looking forward to seeing some pics! should be a top motor with a freshen up.......

Admin Vista Posted January 26, 2012 Admin Report Posted January 26, 2012 Years ago (about 86 I think) my local garage had a metallic bronze mk4 2.3 ghia and a black mk1 RS2000 for sale. I'd grown up with a succession of Cortinas of my dads (3 x mk3's a mk4 and a mk5) and I absolutely lusted after that mk4. I wonder what happened to it.
SmokeEm Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 My Dad had an R plate 2.0 Ghia in metallic blue that was gorgeous - unfortunately he wrote it off
SteveL Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Apparently there are only 2 2.3 S left in the UK ? according to wiki i had a nice one back in the day .lovely cars
wayne Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 been unable to find out how many mk4 cortinas are left any one know
