Skimmer Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Early finish today so pops into a mates garage and over a cuppa he says i got some OSF porn here so he gives me a copy of retro ford from i think 2005 (06)?? and found a full feature on Posses totally white mexico along with loads of other good stuff , i might have to start buying RF now as it seems alot better than classic ford ??....
norm1 Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 i think classic ford have gone to modern ,lots of cossie,xe,and nissan engined stuff ,please dont get me wrong lots of hard work joy and pain go into these cars which is great if you like that kinda thing ,im old school and love the original stuff and slightly modded stuff ,sorry guys i think classic ford should be classic fords ,
banarama Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 i agree as well to modern. i dont buy magazines any more , i normally go to tescos, put classic ford,or retro ford in the basket, go up to the cafe, get a pot of tea, have a read, and cuppa ,then i put them back on the shelf
deltamal Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 There are a lot of Mk3 Esckies appearing in Classic Ford, Sierras are making an appearance here and there as well! Retro Ford are supporting and entering a Cortina in the Swaffham raceway Cortina banger event, supposed to be to celebrate 50 years of Cortinas, they do this by wrecking them! so RF dosen't get my vote either!
stuartp Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 blimey both magazines are brilliant how lucky are we to have two monthly publications dedicated to the type of cars we love! as to which is better? it's too close to call for me, both are essential purchases all year round i haven't noticed too many sierras or mk3 escorts in either but i'd welcome it if they did (i can't quite bring myself to buy the magazines that focus on the later fords - still a bit too max power for me)
Fiesta Steve Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 I remember articals on Sierras and Escort in Classic Ford mag atleast 10 years ago, maybe more. So I am surprised there aren't more of them now they are 10 years older !!
mk1super Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Ive bought classic ford since 1997 and have noticed alot of changes some ive liked some ive not, but thats progress. Iam however very disapointed with the current issue due to the lack of Simon Coulsons art work as i really like his stuff. I realise that "plastic" fords (as many see them) are to some classics and therefore will eventully end up in CF (some escos are now 20 years old ) it doesnt bother me as i like breathed on fords of all ages just so long as they dont forget the originals. Oh and there was way more built not bought cars in 97
