That's a disgrace and the perpetrators should be flayed with the birch, but at least you're paid to do it. I also have to clean up litter like that regularly (in my own time and for free). Partly because we suffer from the same mindless apes as you do, but the fact that there are no litter bins in any of the public areas is at least contributory. Something else the council refuses to provide (you can add road maintenance / sweeping, drains clearance, Grit bins and most other things that people can normally expect to be provided by their local authority to the list of services we don't get)

 

Seriously, I've been here nearly 10 years and it took us about 3 years to get on the local bus route, which was withdrawn again soon after before being reinstated after numerous complaints. Another couple of years to get a post box. The school that was supposed to be built the council allowed the developers to renege on and build more "affordable housing" and Housing association properties instead. Whilst I appreciate that the bus service and post box are not council provided they are a sign of the indifference our area is treated with.

 

Oh and it's nothing to do with Tory cut backs, I know it's easy to blame a councils failings on cut backs but these problems were here long before the Tories were.

Its a great piece of kit it spins and goes up and down .£5k include fitting and matta .Do you know about surfacing then ??? This is the better type easier to replace etc

as for the man in harogate with the scrap cars, i think its absolutally discracefull that they have sent him to jail for keeping scrap cars

 

yeah maybe its a eyesore for local people, but sending him to jail, talk about wasting tax payers money or council tax, im not 100% sure where the money comes from to keep prisoners in jail, but i do know it cost alot just to keep one person in jail, plus i thought the jails were supposed to be too full, what a load of the round ones who ever made the decisions, getting them towed away and crushed would cost alot less than court appearances and prison sentances.

seems like hes been prosecuted a few times over the years .

It says he's been remanded in custody until sentencing on March 23rd rather than he's been jailed. Though the net outcome is the same as far as he's concerned. If he's been prosecuted for it multiple times before though and keeps re-offending then what other option is there?

remanded in custody is "in jail" still costs the same to keep him there, wether its remand or sentanced.

 

imo its the wrong way to approach it, especially since the jails are packed and the cost of it.

 

and he may have other mental problems such as hoarding, if hes done it before and is still doing it then what good is jail doing.
