Fiesta Steve Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 Have you checked for power going to the coil ?
bozie Posted May 6, 2012 Author Report Posted May 6, 2012 yes theres power there not sure how much because i only have a 12v test lamp. will try to get a digital voltage tester tomorrow to test but like i say there is definatly power there. Thanks

w p e Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 so its an H&H then so theres3 wires middle one earth and must be earthed then pos & neg make sure on the coil the correct way and as a good earth
bozie Posted May 8, 2012 Author Report Posted May 8, 2012 I tested at the coil there is 12v with the ignition on but when I turn the car over it never went above 8v I guess because the starter is taking most of the power.??? Thanks
w p e Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 that says a try a direct live to the coil from the battery remove the normal coil feed first if it runs you will need to pull the temp feed of to turn it of. is the ballist bypass wire on the starter normaly yellow and black ?
GJUK Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Having been through this problem recently I bet it's to do with not having a true 12v feed to the coil. run a way from your ignition to the + on the coil, see if that helps you.

The dizzy was refurbed by Bestek, best £60 I've ever spent! Think the carbs and jets and all sorts might be out, wants to start now though!!!
