Admin Vista Posted May 8, 2012 Admin Report Posted May 8, 2012 he said the large power cable used to run amps for subs and large speakers?it didnt sound right to me thats why i asked. thanks Still no way. A Starter is a hefty DC motor, an amp is not. As per Jiffers and my earlier reply, minimum 16mm squared cable. Preferably double insulated and make sure it's a good quality flexible multi strand cable.
bozie Posted May 8, 2012 Author Report Posted May 8, 2012 ok thanks all i will try get some cable. thanks
Jiffer Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 I will have a check, I think I still have some left, let me know how long you want and if you just want standard eyes I will knock you one up, can collect or pic up from cfs
livewire7116 Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 i used 35mm" cable used on welders, its nice and flexible and can also handle big power and allows for voltage drop if you have to crank the engine for longer if its a sod to start
bozie Posted May 8, 2012 Author Report Posted May 8, 2012 ill have a look tomorrow but i think my cable is about 16mm. thanks everyone for your help ill update tomorrow.
