Fuel prices round the country ...

... just got back from the South West and the fuel is deffo cheaper down there than in Hampshire Generally super unleaded was £140.9 and cheapest at home in Hants is £142.9 .... what do you lot pay and why is there the variation ... if anything I would've thought the SW would be more expensive as it is further for the tankers to go to deliver it!!

You're right though, I notice that price difference every trip I make up to Heathrow so always fill my tank down here before I leave and that gets me there and back

Its probably nothing more than the fact that as our houses are worth so much more & we have higher paid jobs (Yeah right) that they think we can afford it!

I thought we had it bad round here, cheapest, which luckily for me is opposite my house virtually, is sainsburys, 134.9 i paid this morning, most expensive is about 140.9, still expensive though

Rip off I was reading in the paper the other day on a £30 fuel bill the goverment get £18 of that and the rest the garage gets

Cov is cheaper than Rugby in some places, works out cheaper to go to the Binley Woods morrisons from Rugby and drive back to get fuel

 

And its a damn good excuse to get a morrisons salad for lunch

The Salaries in Cornwall do not match Surreys and so therefore it makes sense for it to be cheaper.

Yeah what the tax man gets is robbery!!

The garages only make a few pence per ltr and the oil companies get the rest! That's why the supermarkets can undercut the rest, and most garages have convenience stores etc. they need to subsidise their income with retail sales otherwise the forecourt wouldn't survive

there are several texaco sites around this area and they range from 138.9p per litre upto 144.9p per litre for deisel. these sites are literally only a couple miles apart as well!
