... just got back from the South West and the fuel is deffo cheaper down there than in Hampshire :? Generally super unleaded was £140.9 and cheapest at home in Hants is £142.9 .... what do you lot pay and why is there the variation ... if anything I would've thought the SW would be more expensive as it is further for the tankers to go to deliver it!! :lol::lol:

Down earr in Cornwalll, we still feed our 'orses carrots, and they be 3 groats to the lb :mrgreen:

 

You're right though, I notice that price difference every trip I make up to Heathrow so always fill my tank down here before I leave and that gets me there and back

Its probably nothing more than the fact that as our houses are worth so much more & we have higher paid jobs (Yeah right) that they think we can afford it! :twisted:

I thought we had it bad round here, cheapest, which luckily for me is opposite my house virtually, is sainsburys, 134.9 i paid this morning, most expensive is about 140.9, still expensive though :lol:

Rip off I was reading in the paper the other day on a £30 fuel bill the goverment get £18 of that and the rest the garage gets :evil:

Payed £1.37 a litre for diesel yesterday in Cov

rip off !

 

 

Cov is cheaper than Rugby in some places, works out cheaper to go to the Binley Woods morrisons from Rugby and drive back to get fuel :lol::lol:

 

And its a damn good excuse to get a morrisons salad for lunch :wink::lol:

Yeah what the tax man gets is robbery!!

The garages only make a few pence per ltr and the oil companies get the rest! That's why the supermarkets can undercut the rest, and most garages have convenience stores etc. they need to subsidise their income with retail sales otherwise the forecourt wouldn't survive
