Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 5, 2012 Admin Report Posted September 5, 2012 ... but, while on my hollybobs down in Cornwall in August, my friend took my kids fishing and they came back with a bucket full of mackerel which they promptly gutted and the BBQ'd and it tasted absolutely delicious! . Firstly, I have never tried mackerel before and secondly, I have never had such fresh fish but it was bloody lovely so I can see why you chaps go fishing even though it remains boring and yukky

In my navy days I had to avoid breakfast if they were cooking and serving kippers in the galley, especially after a night out!

Sure it is..................I can't believe people eat things from where all the ships in the world pump out their sewage and all the land based sewage processing plants discharge their effluent. Sure, 1st world nations may have processing plants that clean it right up before discharge, but the rest of the world doesn't Would sir like a little bit of poo with his fresh mackerel? No? How about a used tampon or condom then? urrrghh I feel sick again!

Fish has the same effect on me, I'm allergic to a protein in the muscle of white fish, I used to faint when I was a kid if I went past wet fish shops from the smell!
