So a little confused why some get sent to "stand in the corner" ?

If its in chit chat which is a very well used room why move it into a very little used room ?

I thought the whole point was to get people to engage on the forum

C'mon, going in the corner is not a criticism. It's long established that meaningless threads like mallet's mallet, the pub and any other jokes etc go in the corner. If you browse the forum via the "new posts" link you still see them and can respond on them.

my beef was that six or so people were playing a game which i started and having a laugh (which is what some of us want on here )and because one person who was,nt really playing thought it was silly decided to move it to a (in my opinion ) lesser room ,which to me is simply because they have the power to , did,nt stop and think ' oh well there posting away leave them be having a laugh !!!

its like going in the playground and kicking the ball over the fence to stop everyone playing because that person dont like the game and can kick it furthest

with all respect to smoke em , he started a guessing game because he was bored , but i take it everyone was ok with that !!!!

Word games have always lived in the corner and I am of the opinion that it is the best place for them, after all it's not exactly 'chit chatting' as far as I can see. But if it's gone back to where it was then fair enough. Personally I didn't think it was worth criticising (constructively or otherwise)

Thanks Phil it was a "silly " post so that is the room for it and if you don't want the post to "die" keep it going. It was criticising imo Col, it seems as if we ( admin ) can't win whatever we do It's all good when we are deleting traders selling the same stuff as Ashtons sell on the site, but that does not get mentioned ever. we look after our site sponsers on here hence NO free trade sales EVER. but we are slated for stupid things like this. I think you could ask most people on here if they think i am "people with power" your words colin they would say i'm not like that and i'm surprised you have taken offence to me moving your thread, i would have moved it if Darren had started it too but you are exempt from this "site " rule. anyhoo Scott has moved it back now so you can carry on on this room instead of looking down the forum a bit.

Ok now i,ve got my own way (thanks Scott) let me just tidy this up and hopefully put this to bed ,

first of all i read this

and i thought ' fair point Mr Wigger ' so said to myself i need to post more , so instead of just keep posting in the Ashton room or answering tech questions i,ll do some things in chit chat , lighten the mood have a laugh etc ,so the way i saw it was all the time the said thread was active and creating interest/traffic what ever you want to call it why not leave it !

Neil it was not criticising it was trying to make in my opinion a valid point , i appreciate everything admin do as know its all voluntary and believe me i know deleting traders and looking after sponsors is good for the the site , you got and i quote ' slated for stupid things like this ' unquote because imo it was a stupid thing to do ,
