Mixture of money & of course Mercedes promises of a competitive car next season. (Bear in mind that for the 1st time, McClaren will have to actually purchase their engines next year from Mercedes & ongoing, possibly meaning that the latest tech available will go to the factory car & McClaren will have the package before...maybe?)

2014 the engines are going back to forced induction I believe. I must admit, it seems to have gone a bit stale lately at maclaren for him. Perhaps a change could be good for team and driver.

This has been on the cards for months, a friend of mine is a technician for Macca and Hamilton was not liked by the majority of the staff according to him! Apparently none of the techies wanted to work on his side of the garage and have left the company over it, he also said that if he was not one of Buttons mechanics he would be out the door and try and get a job back in WRC

 

I liked Hamilton when he hit the scene as he was exiting, but now his persona makes him look like a total cock. Im glad he left, it will be interesting to see him throwing an uncompetitive about next year!
