As above been looking around to find someone but no joy.

 

I need someone who has the equipment to take out the centres on my rs alloys to 70mm to accept the rs centre caps. I need 2 wheels doing as 2 are off of a JPS capri. Im pretty sure they are currently 63mm centre holes. so its not a huge amount that needs to be taken off.

 

I am in the South East London Area so anywhere local ish is fine.

 

 

any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

this is something ive needed to do for ages and ive just not been able to find someone to do it.

 

The wheels are the ones on the rear of my car in my signature picture.

Any machine shop should be able to do that? Have you tried local places?

I would imagine the problem is having a lathe big enough to fit them in! It would also be difficult to mount them on a machine without damaging them!

i had a set a, genuine set on ebay at £80 and i had no one interested!

this was a full set, 70mm centres too

that would probably have been cheaper than machining cost.

some times you just cant find what you need !

Ive tried a few local places, biggest problem is no one will give me a price one guy said get the tyres off bring them over and we will see if we can do it for you.

 

thats the best ive got so far, was just asking in case someone has had this done and knows someone decent that can do the work.

Just wanted to write up and say Ian is a top man. He machined my wheel centres to a really high standards my rs centre capa fit like a glove and also he checked them all for balance aswell and don this all for a very reasonable price. He really knows his stuff so if anyone needs any small machining jobs in the south east london area i would highly reccommend Ian to anyone.He is in the Surrey area.His number is above.
