If you had a choice of colour what colour would you go for ? there are so many colours out there would you go for a ford colour or would you push the boat out and go madness :D

I'm not biased at all....

However I love Blue Mink ..... Especially on a old Cortina ,)

So when I eventually respray it.... That's the colour it'll be

I have got the tin in the garage I will dig it out and find the name of it and the paint code.

 What car is the colour from?

I think it depends on the car

I'd keep a rare model in its original colour but with a standard base model as a blank canvas i know i'd go for something different

i went for a modern mercedes silver on mine

but that was because the guy who painted it was mad keen on doing it that colour, i spent months agonising over it and even though it looks pretty good i'm still not 100% convinced

i was mostly going to go for british racing green (maybe with a cream roof) as i don't think i have ever seen a mk1 escort like that but what i also considered was fiat broom yellow (same as the cinquecento i had at the time) or if i hadn't had a mate who already had an orange one it would have been bright orange

it's hard with escorts as there aren't really any colours that you don't see fairly often at car meets

My car is a Toyota colour, Garnet red mica.

Still not sure if i like it, I'd like something brighter like Focus ST asbo orange.

originally i wanted my mk1 escort red but couldnt find the shade i was after, then decided on a type of grey, then i realised i quite like bubble arched mk1's in white

...now ive just seen this im back to red again :banghead:

on a serious note i absolutely love a car unpainted in patches of primer etc... the unfinished 'work in progress' look

Strange i know but i would be happy to keep my mk1 in red oxide
