Too many people buying on ebay and the like, pushes prices down and people like to have stuff delivered to their doors, shame cos we wont be going out "window shopping" soon cos the only windows to look in will be microsoft or Apple

 

I ran a retail shop for a while 10 years ago and it was starting then, people coming in looking at the new stuff asking questions then going off to buy off the net !!!

 

Gotta feel for the staff losing their jobs which in turn is 6500 more people unable to spend any extra cash in the bussiness that are left, meaning we will all suffer in the long run

Can't blame people buying on eBay, it's so easy, and we're all getting lazy feckers these days

I bought a switch for my grinder, found the part on "buy it now" on eBay but I rang the company to make sure it was the right part. It was 14quid plus 2 delivery. Whilst speaking to the guy I asked him if it was easier to pay over the phone or go back onto the net and he happily dealt with it there and then, but when the part arrived, they'd charged me an extra fiver for the bit,and 4 for delivery

I rang them straight away and was informed their eBay prices were different from their shop prices!!! Needless to say I was a bit pissed to be charged £7 for him to talk to me, and he refunded the difference. There, rant over

And now Deloitte announce that they're not going to honour gift vouchers!

 

A spokesman for Deloitte said: "We are assessing the position with regard to gift vouchers, to establish whether it is possible for the company to accept them in future.

 

"But in the meantime stores have been instructed not to accept payment by means other than credit card or cash.

 

In other words: "Customers holding gift cards are last in the line of creditors and the least able to do anything about getting money or goods to the value of, so get stuffed!"

 

Sounds like Deloitte need a lesson in economics, this can be derived only by customers with cash / credit cards voting with their feet and using them elsewhere!
