A representative from Wheeler Dealers has got in touch with the forum asking for help with filming their up and coming mk1 Escort episode.

To fulfil the mint owner's original part of their program, they're looking for a standard Escort MK1 with slight modifications that are similar to the ones they've done to their own car. They're not looking for a complete Mexico / RS replica look, but more of a halfway house refurbishment with spots but no decals + minor mods and in top condition. Can you help?

With regards to the location they have still not finalised this, but are based in London and Bracknell and so would ideally prefer to do this in the south of England. However, they say that they would definitely be willing to travel further afield to film close to the owner's location. Owners from further afield should therefore not be discouraged from submitting their cars for consideration.

Filming is targeted at January 15th, so short notice but what have you?

As long as you don't mind Mike Brewer ragging your pride and joy round a track somewhere with tyres squeeling. You have been warned.

Having said that if mine was finished, I'd have jumped at the chance being just down the road.

Not a 2 door i know but its a clean car and probably a good spec for the episode of wheeler dealers to go on. Apart from the extra doors!!

Anyone doing anything for wheeler dealers beware, my OH had recent experience with them for a vehicle they were going to buy from him, and after wasting his time for over a week, missing another sale, costing him wages due to taking time off work for them to view the car and not returning expenses they promised for him getting the car independently checked to make sure it was roadworthy they backed out of the sale. THEN rang him on the morning of filming and told him they'd changed their mind again and asked if he would bring the car near on halfway across the country to where they were filming. My OH is not the only one who has had bad experiences with the company either.

dunno which are worse, bernie n lepu or mike n ed (remember there capri with the aerosol,d front wings) :(

That was a long time ago and their budget back then was only £1000, what were they supposed to do?

It's simple folks, if you like the show, and want a chance for your car to be featured, then please post it up. If not, that's fine too but start another thread to debate it please.

Nice try Tom but sorry, they definitely want spots. I did get sent a very nice 1300E local to them but it has a full width front bumper and 1300e spots so that was out too.
