Not sure Jo, we use 'xenon' bulbs in the trucks at work and they look just like normal bulbs, however I just bought some 100 watt xenons for my bike and they are a blue colour but am yet to try them..

I can't say if the bulbs are any good but I have proper adaptive (they turn as you turn the wheel) xenon lights in my daily and they are shit hot

i put some uprated xenon bulbs in the passat and were shite, then remembered i had some chinese hid units which i paid £30 for and totally transformed the lights on the car, so much so im going to get another set to go in the hi beam side as well

not trying to push my product by i have fitted 6000k hid's h4 hi low kit to my mk1 as i had spare stock. massice improvment over the 35w sealed units i had

'Cos they are proper and not aftermarket there is a very definative line on the horizontal. Below it is like daylight, above it is pitch black, the lights are set correctly and car is self levelling, the problem is when you are going over bumps the car moves up and down and the cars in front think you are flashing them

 

If I set them lower I wouldn't be able to see, lol
