Okay i dont know if this has been done before but heres your chance to show off your creative skills, i started learning to weld about a year ago and have done various bits in drips and drabs but now im kinda getting the hang of it and really enjoy making bits up the shed

a few of my proudest acheivements so far, i made this cambelt cover for my old cossie from sheet steel 1.2 mm

Thats pretty amazing, looks like its just come out of a metal fabricators shop

Thank you :)

I specialise in performance fabrication in the watercooled VW world  I was going to look at doing Ford stuff but there are so many people at it! And TBH im struggling to keep up with my current load as it is :)

Nice one Ian, one offs are always more satisfying, especially if its for your own vehicle

thanks for the kind words, I also made all the repair panels for my Anglia. sills, floors, flitch panels etc,and machined loads of parts like the type 9 to Anglia bellhousing adaptor, caliper brackets, etc etc. I work in stainless when it's practical to do so. I love metalwork, but wouldn't want to do it for a living!

cheers, ian.

A few years ago I was working on a Dutton kit car and did a chassis rebuild, I built a frame in my garage as a jig/fixture to make it all flat and square.

Really enjoyed doing this, but unfortunately never got any further with it, the chassis is still stood on it's side in my garden shed!
