Col-ashtonmobile Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 I enjoyed it.It was an hours entertainment. Not so bad that I got annoyed or anything. Turned out nice At last someone talking sense , it was a ' TV SHOW ' ffs , if they showed everything they did it would end up like a ' a car is reborn ' , all the steering bushes were replaced in the end but in the programme he was showing you the brake upgrade , otherwise where does he stop on a car this age , brakes done ,while we here we,ll do the steering , fix the exhaust , cure the oil leak , he could go on but then it would not be an hour long show would it,there was lots done he did,nt show ' new headlining , window rubbers etc ' i was just glad he done an escort too easy to criticise i think as they,re prob not as clued up as people on here when it comes to escorts ,but i like watchin them 2 and i like the show , i thought he was clever on the first show when he borrowed a smoke machine and used it to find where the water was getting in the car , try doing that with a hose pipe on your own ....anyway seeing the car in the flesh i think they did a pretty good job

GJUK Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 I watched it this evening, was an interesting watch for a 30 minutes or so, skipping through the boring bits. The building of the diff was interesting. Not sure you could ever sell a car like that for 12k though?
jamie Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 Well, I enjoyed it and found it interesting. I've watched pretty much every episode and they tend to vary the jobs they do on each car, which is good. I remember right back to series one, the Capri and the Mini... I've always liked Mike's and Ed's presenting styles. Especially when Mike comes in half way through and says Ed, "I gave you this car days ago and it looks like nothing has been done...we need some progress" Ed's worked on some cool projects over the years too.

retrorigg Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 did anyone notice the finished car the front wheels werent sitting right in the arches, they were more rearward towards the inner arch, ive noticed this on a few mk1,s before, anyone know what causes this, i reckon they get the buyer to make out they,ve paid mikes askin price ish when really i reckon they,ll lose money on a lot of cars, but just for the cameras pretend he,s made money, it looked ok but surely to god wasnt worth 11+k ed mostly seems to know what he,s talking about but brewer is totally full of sh*t
