hi,i have a 1970 cortina with a v6 cologne engine, i was insured with sureterm,now on the renewel they want to know where the engine came from ect ect,i dont know this,can anyone recommend an insurance company to insure george please,many thanks,daz

Personally, if they insist on asking, I would always state a ford car. They're never going to be able to verify the source and are looking for details to base their quotation on. If it's a 2.8i or 2.8 carb I would say it's from a mk2 granada as I suspect that would attract a lower premium than if you stated it as being from a mk3 2.8i capri (even though it's the same engine)

I'm through Heritage insurance with my anglia. They ask what modifications I've made, and need a set of photos for the agreed value, but that's about it. Bargain price too! Just taxed mot'd and insured it for £200 all in!
