I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing an OSF track day.

I do love a good track day but some of them are terribly run and full of idiot hooligans

When I had my Lotus there was a track day club called Lotus on Track, the days were only for Lotus's and were brilliantly run, most people were members of SELOC so you saw the same old faces and the etticate was spot on.

I'd be really unsure about taking my OSF on a normal day, obviously the speed difference between these and modern machinery is quite substantial. However it could be a lot of fun with cars of the same era

I was hoping I could get a group together to hire a track for the day. I'm happy to email them all for costs and do all the leg work but thought I'd gauge interest.

What do people say?

It's a good idea and it has been suggested before, there's a nationwide spread on this forum though so choosing a venue that suits all is very difficult..............Trackdays are also quite pricey which is why we run the OSFDC instead.

Please feel free to look into it and come up with some options though

We won't mind if the modern plastic can't keep up

i have been to watch the Ford only track day at Brands, there was quite a few Old Skool stuff on track, its run via MSV so surly if you had enough people on here and MSV could let you know some dates you could turn it into a OSF day.... and Brands is a pretty easy track, I would think about taking escort there, as out of all the tracks i been on think it would suit it as not a high speed track as no real long straights, my caterham dont really get into top gear around there

Texr, that's not a bad idea. Get in on a day early and just get loads of us to book up and take a decent amount of places.

Silverstone have got back to me, they'll give us one exclusive 30 minute session for 20 cars for £945 which works out at £47.50 per car. Sounds a lot to me, I think Brands and Snetterton do taster sessions for a fraction of the price

And people will be able to see the cost too it don't sound that expensive to me I thought it would be more would love to take my mex out on track and open her right up.

TBH brands open pit evening is ideal, its a short track and a full day be a little boring.... if its soon i'd come along if not working......probs not in Escort tho.....

It is a good idea and I might be tempted to rock my Escort out for another day (but only if the demon mk2 mania isn't there  ).  No really, I get precious about my Escort now so built a 182 Clio that I don't mind swapping paint with others..;)

I got Mark Fish Motorsport to build me a track Clio 172, great little car for honing around a track in.
