ZetecVan 2.0 Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Have a word with Neil from 105Speed.com He's supplied a few Brise ones to Zetec owners and they're all pleased with them.
cortinaman Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Posted February 6, 2007 Good lead ZetecVan - Brise starter motor looks good - http://www.brise.co.uk/starter_motors.html
105Speed Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Cheers for the plug Mike We do the Brise ones for our Zetec customers, I have one on my own car and am very happy with it. Price is £179+VAT & Delivery. The nice thing about the Brise ones is that the solenoid is internal so they are as compact as the original. What I would say is though you can get 5 standard motors for that price, so unless you are running a real high compression motor then you may want to think if its something you really need. HTH Cheers Neil
MightySprocket Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 I got one from H&H, can't fault it or the service they gave

HTH Cheers Neil Thanks for the info Neil. It probably doesn't really need a high torque starter, but is a pig to start when cold (not helped by a worn ring gear which causes the starter to jam!)
