Just got back from Le Mans in my mk1 escort. On the way back the oil pressure pipe that feeds the dash split and pumped oil all over the exhaust manifold whilst in traffic. Within seconds it was up in smoke. Luckily I had an extinguisher and caught it quick . Managed to push it through the tolls into the parking area. Whilst looking to see what happened Glenbo pulled in and helped out. Just goes to show wherever you are we all help each other. We patched her up and she got home fine!! Big thanks mate I owe you !!!! That is why I like this forum and the cars. Oldskoolfords rule !!!!

I love it scott. I would drive my mk1 anywhere. It's got 2.1 pinto with twin 48 IDF's with a 5 speed box and a 4.1 diff. It drives spot on with good fuel consumption on a run!!!! Ford intended these cars to be driven so I drive them !!!!

Glenbo is one of those "nice guys" that would help anyone in need

Must have been terrifying for you seeing the smoke after so much work has gone into your car. Well done on having an extinguisher on board !!!
